Participate in the CPA’s Future of Licensure Project: Upcoming Focus Group Sessions

As part of our Future of Licensure Project, the CPA is hosting a series of virtual focus group sessions. These sessions seek to engage various perspectives and experiences from across the profession on key themes surrounding the future of physiotherapy licensure in Canada, including the rationale for innovation, the barriers to innovation, and a vision for a new system. Each 90-minute session will focus on one theme and will be facilitated by an independent consulting firm.

The goal of the CPA’s Future of Licensure Project is the development of a critical report and recommendations that are informed by the profession. This report will be shared with decision makers to inform and guide on a long-term, national approach to addressing licensure and competency assessment in the profession for the future.

Hearing the insights and feedback of our members is critical to ensuring that the recommendations that come out of the project accurately reflect the needs of the profession, and so we hope you will consider joining us for one or more of the focus group sessions.

All comments and input shared remain confidential and participant input will not be identified or attributed to specific individuals in any reports or releases related to this project.

CAPR’s Innovation Agenda

In parallel to the work of the CPA, CAPR’s work to re-envision the future of CAPR’s evaluation services is also underway. This summer, stakeholders, including CPA members, will have the opportunity to contribute to focus groups and surveys. Participation in these activities will help to ensure the work of CAPR’s Expert Advisory Panel incorporates a broad and inclusive scope of stakeholder perspectives.

You can learn more about this opportunity and how you can contribute through regulators and on CAPR’s website. For Updates on CAPR’s Innovation Agenda and more information on how to get involved, click here.
